Sealflex Elastomeric Roof Coating is a water-based emulsion used to waterproof asphalt shingle, wood, concrete, metal and recreational vehicles roofs. This products offers a durable, UV resistant, cracking, peeling, chalking, mildew and fade resistant finish. It contains an anti-corrosion agent that prevents and reduces the rust formation of old metal substrates. It extends the life of a roof covering that has not lost its integrity. This product is available in 8 colors: green, grey, brown, concrete grey, black, white, brick red and beige.

Surface preparation

Surfaces must be clean and free of dust, dirt or other contaminants. Clean the surface with a universal degreaser except asphalt shingles. Brush and rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of soap. Sand smooth surfaces for better adhesion. Using a high pressure machine may be useful in some cases. Use Sealflex Elastomeric Plastic Cement for repairs and allow a 24-hour drying time before applying the product.

Application

Do not apply if rain is expected in the next 48 hours. Stir well before application. The product does not require any dilution. Try the product on a small surface to validate if the product is suitable. At the time of application and for complete drying, the temperature should be above 10°C. Ideal conditions are 25°C and 50% relative humidity. Avoid application in direct sunlight or on a very hot surface. The surfaces must be sufficiently inclined for the flow of water. To ensure good waterproofing we recommend applying two coats. Depending on the chosen means of application, certain precautions are necessary for surfaces that must not be painted (ventilation, air conditioning, awning). Apply a first layer always in the same direction (north to south). Allow sufficient drying time before applying the second coat. Obviously, the drying time varies depending on the application method, the temperature, the relative humidity and the thickness applied. On average, it is necessary to wait between 2 to 3 hours before the application of the second layer. Apply a second layer perpendicular to the first layer and always in the same direction (west to east). Protect the surface if drying is not complete before dew, if showers may occur. Close the container after each use.

Drying

Allow about 2 hours for surface drying and 4 hours for complete drying. The drying time depends on the application method, the ambient temperature, the surface and the thickness applied

Store this product away from frost. The product may be kept in its original sealed container up to 12 months after the date of purchase by the user.

Warranty

5 years limited warranty when installed and / or applied as recommended by the manufacturer. We will replace the product with a manufacturing defect. Under no circumstances will the manufacturer be liable for any amount exceeding the purchase price of the product used. The consumer must ensure that this product is suitable for the intended use. Because of atmospheric conditions, applicator competence and surface conditions being independent of the manufacturer’s control, we limit our liability for one year following the date of purchase, with proof of purchase, to replacement of defective material only in its original hermetic container. Port paid plant (FOB plant).
